So im getting ready to send mine out. Im addressing them informally BUT Im not sure what to do about couples who have been together for a while but are not married or engaged and dont live together. So say my friend is Jane Smith and her Boyfriend is John Doe. DO I sent the STD addressed to just Jane smith or do I send it to Jane Smith and then on the next line put John Doe? As for guests who are not in serrious realtionships but are i nvited with a guest we are not putting & Guest on the STD but not sure what to do for people in serrious relationships. I know my FH gets annoyed when we get invited to something and it says & guest instead of his name so I dont want to hurt anyones feelings. WHat should I do?

Re: Question about STDs
2 years ago FH got a party invite addressed
Mr. John ______ & Natalie
b/c I knew them but I had only met them like twice at that point.
I think if its someone you never met and they are not serious then you can put 'guest'

Re: Question about STDs
Yeah if its not a serrious relationship or something like that then on the wedding invitation I will put and guest. But for the STD since im addressing them informally If they are in a long relationship and I know both the people but they dont live together Should I put both names on the STD or just the name of the person whos house Im mailing it to?

Re: Question about STDs
I know I was happy when I saw the 'and Natalie' so I say just put their 1st name on it.

Re: Question about STDs
'Couples who have been together for a while but are not married or engaged and don't live together' :
I sent mine to the person I was closest with
ie: I am closer with John:
Mr. John Doe and Ms. Jane Smith
ie: closer with Jane:
Ms. Jane Smith and Mr. John Doe
'Guests who are not in serious relationships but are invited with a guest we are not putting & Guest on the STD but not sure what to do for people in serious relationships.' :
I called and found out the intended guest name or simply addressed it to the individual. I don't think you have to be as formal with STD's. You will have an inner envelope / space on your response card to inform the guest of the number of ppl invited when you send your invites
