So anthony and I own a home together, but can't file jointly yet because we're not married. So, how do we file for the house? do we just do it under one of us? or do we break it up and do it 50% me and 50% him? does it matter? HELP!!!!!

Only one of you can put it on your taxes. Can't split it up only one persons get it all or nothing

you can split it 50/50 as long as you are both on the mortgage. Our acct said that is the better option b/c you will both get the most out of your return by splitting it.

this is correct, i just did my taxes this weekend and this is how we filed it. your accountant has to spilt the mortgage 50/50 on each of your returns.
