Question about the carribean for all those who have travled in august

Hello FH is starting law school the end of August and we are tryin to fit in a vacation the second week of August. We want to go to either Mexico or somewhere preferably in the Carribean. preferably all-inclusive but not necessarily.
I am a little weary of Carribean in August because of Hurricaines and Mexico because of the heat. does anyone have any suggestions of where to go? if it is ok? driving myself crazy looking at all these different places.

I usually go to the Caribbean every August. We have been to Mexico, DR, Bahamas, and a cruise...We usually go like the 2nd week in August and have never had a problem. I have heard that if you go later like the 3rd-4th week thats when the hurricanes are bad. If you want to avoid the hurricane issue entirely go to Aruba- they are out of the area of hurricanes

my aunt and i like to go away to the carribbean - we usually go in aug/sept for long weekends... we have never had any trouble with hurricans or storms even thought they say its hurricane season.... here is where we have been- Ohh and they are all all-inclusive

Dominican Republic - Punta Cana - i think the hotel was Melia Triopical.... it was beautifu but big.. we had to take a shuttle bus around... our room was near the pool and beach but we had to take shuttle to the main lobby and all restaurants

St Lucia - LeSport Spa - very very nice - you get a spa treatment every day included and you can add on - LOTS of mosquitos but ok with bug spray

Jamaica - RIU Montego Bay - LOVED IT! lots to do, beautiful beaches and pool! also went to Breezes Runaway Bay with my FH - also LOVED it! both great places!!!!

Bahamas - stayed at both Atlantis and Breezes - Atlantis big and flashy but not my idea of a vacation... it was the only place thats not all inclusive that I went - it was a FAR walk to beaches from the room

Mexico - I have been to the Moon Palace in Can Cun - it was real nice!!!

I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE MY TRAVEL AGENT!! Ill send her info via FM!

Aruba and Curacao are under the hurricane belt so you're pretty okay with going there anytime! I went to Aruba and absolutely loved it!...Hurrican season lasts for about like 4 months ...its hard to say when and where you can visit
