Question about the Final Payment (certified check) to the hall:

Question about the Final Payment (certified check) to the hall:

Basically, I need to give final payment in the form of a certified check. Where did you get yours?
Did you have to withdraw all the cash to purchase it or was it electronically transferred somehow.
I'm worried about carrying around this much money. How'd you do it?

you go to your bank with one of your personal checks made out to WM, and they certify it so it puts a hold on that money, and WM knows the check wont bounce.

i have not done this yet, but i believe if you go to your bank and tell them you need a certified check for x amound of $, the amount automatically comes out of your account. if its all in savings, transfer the $ to the checking or tell them to take it from savings.

some banks don't do certified checks anymore so it also can be done with a bank check,its very easy

certifed check/bank check are one in the same

what it is a check that has guarantee funds so there is no way the check will bounce...

your bank will do it because you have an account with them and its looks like a withdrawal.

there can be a fee involved at some banks.. maybe 10 bucks

Just go to your bank :)

I paid with cash and made sure I got a receipt as always.

yup, most banks now just issue bank checks rather than certified checks..its the same thing and if you get it from your bank, they shouldnt charge you.
