Question about The Inn Between in Syosset

We are having an early sunday wedding so some of our guests will be coming the night before and stay at the hotel . We wanted to hang out with everyone (casually) the night before... at first I was thinking of bowling but that might not be a good idea with a FRESH set of nails....

Someone had recommended the Inn Between (on Jericho Tpke) in Syosset... but I am reading online that is isn't good for large groups..
We wouldn't really need it to have a formal dinner, just to hang out and maybe have some appetizers... would this place be large enough if we had like 20-30 people???

If not, can anyone recommend another place that is nearby...

Thanks!!!

It is kind of small for a sit down. There are tables that could probably accomodate though. I would call and ask. It is fun though for a casual drink at the bar.

I love in Syosset and have been there once before. I do think it is small.

I think it is large enough for appetizers and drinking at the bar but now for everyone to sit down, if I remember correctly.

I agree, there are some small tables and booths I think. So for just a hang out it is fine!

I live in the area as well, where are you from? Is the Inn Between close by to you or where your guests will be? I would recommend something like Steve's Piccola Bussola in Syosset or La Famiglia in Plainview. They serve delcious family style meals and both have private rooms.
Who doesn't lke wine and Italian food?

Otherwise, if your heart is still set on the Inn Between I would say check it out but, consider that it won't be your own private party and I would recommend trying the food out too. I ate there once and it wasn't bad.

Definately check out Huntington Village too, you'll find plenty of options to explore.
There are also many resources for you to use to find a great place such as Newsday.com and the Great Restaurants of Long Island Magazine.

Thanks, I think the Inn Between is more what we are looking for... we aren't really looking for a sit down formal meal..just a place to drink and hang out.

I've been to the Inn Between several times... the area by the bar will accommodate you. There's small tables and the bar there. There are tables in the back for a sit-down and I've sat like 10-15 there, but it would be tight for 20-30.
