what if you saw a gorgeous house that was in your price range and it had just about everything you wanted... in the town and SD you wanted, but the neighborhood was 'eh'.
would you consider buying it?

by neighborhood, if you mean its too close to a busy street, I may think twice.

well, it's on a fairly busy street, but it's not 'too' busy - nothing like Hempstead Tpke or Merrick Ave.

We went through making that type of decision before we bought our house. It's a beautiful neighborhood, but it's on a busy street. Since the house is set very far back from the street and we can block off the top of the driveway for the kids to play in the backyard (when that day comes), we decided to go for it. It also didn't hurt to ask our parents for their opinion
