My sister is getting married there next year and they are possibly expecting 250-300 guests. They're worried that the dance floor might be too small esp if they go with a band. For those that had their wedding there already or went to a wedding there, do you think that a band would take up too much space w/ that many guests? TIA!

Re: Question about the Woodlands
My friend got married there last year and had a band. But she only had about 170 guests and it was comfortable. I cant remember exactly but i think that it may be a little tight on the dance floor with 250+ people. But with that many poeple, maybe they have a different set up for the band....

Re: Question about the Woodlands
i've never been to a wedding there, but i didn't have my wedding there because of that dance floor. i was totally IN LOVE with the place, but the dance floor is seriously tiny. i am expecting around the same amount of guests.

Re: Question about the Woodlands
thanks girls. that was her concern that the dance floor was so small. they said they can add more wood to make it bigger but that would mean less table space

Re: Question about the Woodlands
I'm getting married there in September and honestly, have the same concern.
When we first booked the place last year, our guest list was only at about 190 and somehow that snowballed to 260
That said, once we get all the rsvp's back, we're gonna determine whether or not to ask the Woodlands to add additional wood to enlarge the dance floor.
We're also having a 9 piece band and plan on having them set up in the front of the room across the dance floor from the double doors that open up to the outside.
