How much time are you leaving between church and cocktail hour. We are trying to figure out if we should push the ch back a 1/2 hour. Our church is at 3 and we were thinking 7 for CH but now i think it should 7:30. Mind you we need a hour travel time btw church and hall. so we would leave the church around 4:30 get there at 5:30 and take pics until 7. is 1 1/2 enough time?
Please help thanks

Re: question about timing the day of...
my church is at 3pm and the Ch starts at 7:30. I thought that was too much time and asked the hall to change it to 7 but they said well NO they couldn't so I am just it isn't too much time.
I think you should be fine with a 3pm church and a 7pm CH. I have to drive from Babylon (church) to Mineola (Jericho Terrace) and that is a good 40 minute drive in a limo.

My Church is at 4pm and my reception is at 7pm - it takes us about a half hour between the two sites - I think that will be plenty of time!

Re: question about timing the day of...
for me church is at 1:30 and will most likely be over at around 2:30.... but that is if we live in a perfect world, so i am figureing church will be over at around 3 and CH does not start till 7.... so there is a 4 hour break in between
If it was up to me i would have the church later but since i am getting married in the fall i need sunlight.
You will have more than enough time!

Re: question about timing the day of...
That's how much time I gave myself.....we really planned the locations of the church and hall very well, so that our travel time is close to nothing! I figured 1 1/2 hours is MORE than enough time to take pics at the hall/outside. I mean, I was in two weddings last year and the photographer had all family shots done in like 1/2 hour. An hour for other shots of the bride and groom is enough I think.

Re: question about timing the day of...
My ceremony is at 1 and my reception isn't until 7:30. I am kinda freaking out about it and im not so sure what i'm going to do....Lombardi's wasn't flexible with the time and the 3:00 time at the church was booked! My mom will have to entertain at our house and I guess we will just take a lot of pictures! I'm praying for a sunny day that isn't too hot......what can ya do I guess?!?!?
