I have a question about this. I know you don't have to tip owners of businesses, but what if they are coming to you to do a service? How about officients who marry you at the hall?

If the officiant is a judge - by law the max they can accept is $75. Fee & tip - that is the max.

I am also confused about the hair and makeup people because they are business owners. I was reading the knot's article about tipping and I was wondering what was appropriate.

My officiant is $475, I dont think a tip is necessary, the money I am paying is going directly to him already.
