Question about tipping...please help.

I was just wondering how much you tipped your maitre'd? I am not sure how much to give...help.

That's what I thought too. One place I looked at though, the person giving us the quote told us to allow for $5 a guest but I think that is too high. We ended up not booking there so I guess I can tip what I want now.

Careful about this.... Sometimes it's actually written in your contract. In my contract it says Maitre'd gets $500! I didn't even know that was something that could be negotiated when I signed!
