Did you leave 'just' the deposit required for your vendors? If you left more than the required deposit, how much of a balance did you leave yourself to pay them off? TIA!

I left as little as humanly possible and made them list it in writing as the DEPOSIT.
Most contracts clearly state the deposit is non-refundable. So I didnt want to murk the waters leaving any more than absolutely necessary.
The DJ was the best. He didnt CARE what I left as a deposit. $5 or $50.

We left the required deposit for each vendor. Most of them took a deposit and then expect final payment 2 weeks or so before the wedding. The band was the only vendor that had a deposit, second payment, and then final payment. We will probably hold off a small amount of the photography until after we get our proofs.
