This is a silly question I know, but I'm gonna ask it anyway!
Would you be more inclined to book a vendor that closer to your other vendors, or would it matter to you (assuming they are of excellent quality). The reason I ask is I found it very easy when my dress was at Fantasia's to put down money and deposits because I was in the area already. The reason that I am asking is that someone suggested a florist in Glen Cove, but everything else is so far east that I feel that it would be easier when it comes to finalizing the details, if everything is in one general area. Am I a sicko?

Re: Question about vendors...
Location doesn't matter to me as long as I don't have to cross a bridge to get there. I want the best of everything (that i can afford of course ).

I don't want to travel too far to vendors. You will have to visit them again a few months before your wedding, and you don't want to travel forever to meet with them.

Re: Question about vendors...
one of my favorite things about my photog is that he is so close... i like having my vendors near by too... and on the day of at least no one will have major issues concerning traffic or getting lost!!!

Re: Question about vendors...
I wouldnt worry so much about location in relation to where you live. I would be more concerned about location in regard to where your ceremony and hall are. I wouldn't book vendors that are too far from my venue because I am having a winter wedding and weather is unpredictable.

Re: Question about vendors...
I wouldn't want to travel more than 45 minutes. Just think about the weeks before your wedding when you have to have final meetings and dropping off money. Personally, I don't want to be traveling all over LI. All of our vendors are 20 minutes apart from each other.

Well, my reception isn't that close to my house so I wouldn't mind traveling.

Yeah, this is what I was talking about. I want everything close to each other (all by east wind), or at least within 20-30 minutes of each other. Glen Cove is just to far. When it comes time to finalize things I can just go in one direction and hit them all.

Re: Question about vendors...
A January wedding makes me consider distance. If I were doing summer, I wouldn't think twice about it.

if i were you i wouldnt worry about location - i answered yes to the poll b/c location matters for me b/c i am having a winter wedding and am concerned about weather posing a problem or even a hazard. But in your case i'd say dont worry about it!
