Question about vienese hour..

Does it add an extra hour on to the reception? My cocktail hour is from 12:30-1:30. My reception was supposed to be 1:30-5:30. Last night I was going over everything with my dad and he said add the vienese hour to the wedding. Does that go from 5:30-6:30 or is it 4:30-5:30?

Has anyone been to a vienese hour at the Crest Hollow. It is $7.50 extra pp and I want to know if it is worth it.

Ours isnt adding an hour to the reception - you have to contract for the extra hour - I've been to a wedding at Crest Hollow - the vienniese was very good...

Sometimes the Vienese hour adds on only a half hour. It depends on the place.

Mine added an extra half an hour. My reception ends at midnight. I think it is well worth it!!

Mine would add an extra hour. It's also less than your price pp - I would try to negotiate that, if you were considering having a VH. Personally, I can go with or without VH - I don't think it makes or breaks a wedding. Our place serves a dessert with the wedding cake as well as chocolate covered strawberries...we could probably throw cookies in with that - so I don't really see the need for VH. If someone wants a crap-a-ccino, they can order it.

would defintley call up the hall, some places add the extra hour and some do it within the 4 hours of the reception(not including the cocktail hour)I decided not to do the veinies hour beacuse it would take away from all the dancing and becides by the time the veinies table comes out everyone is so full, nobody eats anything.and I also think its to flashy, (not my taste) I think it is a wast of money.

Some places include the extra time - you have to ask. We are not having the full viennese - too much $$$ and there is already SOOOO much food. Our hall does include a modified viennese though, which is cookies, pastries and fruit (and some other stuff) for each table along with the wedding cake, and I think that's fine.
