Question about Volkswagon Warranty...

I was under the impression that my '02 car was under 3 year..25,000 mile warranty

BUT they insist that its 50,000 and 4 years...but I just don't trust that is true...gee maybe because I don;t trust them..

Anyone know the answer??? TIA

I don't know what the Warranty was back in 02. Do you still have your book (check the glove compartment). I know that My '00 had a 2 year 24,000 warranty and FH has 4 year 50,000. I don't remeber them ever having a 3 year 25,000, but I stopped working for VW in 01, so I'm not sure. I would either call VoA directly or check in your book. Your book will have it in writing

Contact Volkswagen of America directly. There is a LOT of turnover at dealerships and people don't always know what they're tlaking about, but VoA can tell you definitively But if they looked you up on the computer in the sevice department and told you the warranty I'd trust that

ETA: I found your answer:

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Today, Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced a new vehicle warranty available on all 2002 Volkswagen models that begin arriving at U.S. dealerships this month and throughout the summer and fall. Volkswagen said it based its new warranty for the 2002 model year on customer research and feedback, creating a more optimal warranty focused on providing even better comprehensive coverage for today’s Volkswagen customer.

For the 2002 model year, all new Volkswagen vehicles will come standard with an increased four-year/50,000 mile (whichever occurs first) bumper-to-bumper warranty, up from two years/24,000 miles. The warranty covers wear-and-tear items and adjustments during the initial 12 months or 12,000 miles of ownership
