Do I wash everything, or just the stuff that didn't come in a package?

I would wash undershirts, sleepers (only wash a few of the 0-3 mo. size), socks/booties and receiving blankets and bassinet/crib sheets. These are the things that the baby spends most if his/her time in when they are newborn. Don't wash the cutesy little outfits until you know what size he/she will fit in.

Ditto what Claud said -- I washed everything I knew I was going to use right away and then when I knew what size she was, I washed those clothes after I got home from the hospital.
