question about washing towels.......

how many times do you use the towel before you wash it...
one ???????? or more?

i have no clue..
mike today told me he uses it once then washes it.. and we dont want to be doing washes every couple of days, so he wants enough towels to last a week.. but i was telling him the registry suggests 3 sets of towels per person

yeah, three times, if I didn't use them more than once, I'd be doing laundry ALL of the time!

a new towel each time,
plus each day is work clothes, then home clothes, then sleeping clothes(3 sets a day).. plus sports clothes. he does wash soooooooo much

after this thread is over, im hoping it will convince him to use it 2 times..
otherwise were going to be registering for like $500 instead of $200 of towels.. and i have plenty of other stuff on my list

I guess like maybe 4 or 5 timesa week, it depends, your clean when you come out of the shower so why wash it every time you use it, that's silly..

I use two towels when I come out of the shower and I'll use them for a week. I just hang them up to dry when I'm done. And like others have said, you're clean when you get out of the shower.

thought you just threw them away!!

We use ours for a couple of days then get fresh ones unless they seem gringy then its sooner!!

there is no set number...if its been used once and I am doing laundry...it goes in... but other than that - they are used multiple times...

We do laundry every 3-5 days so that's how long we use the towels.

I tend to wash my towels more often in the summer time because our house doesn't have central air (yet!) and they seem to get mildewy faster. I'd say we use a fresh set every 3 days! I also use two, so I am constantly doing a load of towels!!

LOL - When I was younger I'd use 2 towels per shower and never recycled them - now that I'm doing my own laundry, I use them about 3-4x before washing. Like the others, I AM clean when I use them, right?

Otherwise, I'd be washing those big towels all day!
