Hey all. sorry I havent been on in a while. Fh and I were discussing our plans to get married and he turned to me and said that i needed to get my baptismal papers from where i was baptised. I always thought that if the church your getting married at has all that stuff. (since i had my communion and confirmation there). I am confused can some one shed some light on this?

Re: Question about Wedding
You just call the church and tell them you need a copy of your baptismal papers. That's it.
My mom lives up the road from wear I made my mine and she was even able to pick them up for me.

Re: Question about Wedding
I would call your church and ask. I was told that since I made all my sacraments at that church I didn't need any documentation. However, FH does since he's not a member of that church.
Good luck!

You just need to call up your church to get the papers. They will do it for you.

Re: Question about Wedding
If the church you were baptized at is the church you're getting married at, they should have it. If it's different, you just need to call the church where you were baptized and get the papers from them.

Re: Question about Wedding
Just call the church and tell them you need a copy of your baptismal certificate - They sent mine in 3 days
but my church said it needed to be within 6 months of the wedding. . . not sure why
