Question about wedding bands...

FH's mom is offering to give us his grandparents rings for our wedding bands. but they are gold. we want to dip them in white gold but my mom almost had a heartattack when i told her. she thought it was disrespectful to change them. but we both can't wear gold and FH's mom is ok with it. what would you do?

PS - i can't turn it down, it would be rude...right?

i wouldnt turn it down...and as long as fhs mom is ok with it i think its great!

what else will be done withthe rings??? they will sit in a box??? now the love you and FH have can be symbolized by rings that are connected to a love that lasted through the years....so you can take that past and let it help you in your future, while at the same time, making it your own!!!

If FH's mom knows already you both can't wear gold, then whats the problem ?
