The one we are considering is 5 minutes and 33 seconds long - is that way too long?

Our song was over 5 mins also... but we invited all couples to join us after the first 2 mins so the last 3 mins didn't feel long at all. Although when we watched the video later, we kept saying wow, that song was long! lol

Ours is 4:37.... I don't think 5:33 is too long I have seen longer.

Just ask you DJ to have the guests join you on the dance floor after you and FH dance alone for about 2 min.

Yeah our song is pretty long, too. We are having a dance choreographed to the 1st half of the song and then our MC will invite the guests to join us.

ours was 4 min 30 sec our bridal party was invited to dance after 2 minutes.
I had enough stress for the 2 minutes

Ours was almost 4 minutes but the time does go fast on the dance floor.
If your song is really long (5-6 min) I'd invite people on the dance floor after the song is halfway done unless you have a choreographed routine to it.

i think ours is a little longer than 4 minutes - we are inviting couples to dance after we dance alone for a minute or two.....

It's not too long if you invite your bridal party or family to join you after the first few minutes. In fact, my photographer prefers longer fist dance songs because it gives him more time to get more photos of the couple

Agreed, that is what we did. The more the merrier (and if you can't dance-like me, it helps)

We were just talking about this last night with I'm thinking 4:33min is a long time to dance alone, even being choreographed, so I'm hoping we can change a few things and around 2 1/2 min invite others to join.
