Okay, this may sound really obsessive but I was wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing. When you go to an outside place and are fully clothed (like the gym) do you subtract a few pounds or no? My FH and I were arguing about this yesterday because I am so obsessed with the scale. He says that as long as I weigh myself consistently on the same scale and see results; I shouldn't carry on about the number I see. I can't help it though; I am looking to see a certain number by my wedding and it has become a motivation for me!! I can literally weigh myself everyday and compare myself on different scales!! Something that can drive a normal person crazy!! Anybody else do this?

Re: Question about weight
STOP THE MADNESS!!!!! What you weigh is only a number! Step AWAY from the scale! Put it away for one month and when that month is up, THEN weigh yourself. If you don't see a weight loss, then you know you have some work to do. Better yet, take your measurements and write them down. In a month's time, if you're eating right and exercising, you should have lost some inches. If you belong to a gym, get your body fat tested. These are the things that are important. What you weigh is not!

Re: Question about weight
Thanks Annie for the advice!! FH has been telling me the same thing; like it has almost become an illness of mine!! What's worse, I have started going around to other women I know and asking them how much they weigh!! And then figuring their height and how it compares to me!!

Re: Question about weight
Do NOT compare your weight to somebody else's weight just because they're the same height as you. You may have a totally different build, different metabolism, etc. And don't look at those dumb charts that say if you're 5'7' you should be XXX lbs. If you look good and your body fat is within acceptable limits, that's all that matters.
