I recently got a few rsvp's back that were no's and they sent checks. Do I mail them a thank you now? or when after the wedding? I should deposit the checks now, right? I wasn't sure if I should wait.

Re: Question about when to send thank you
Send your thank you now...deposit the check...and then send them another thank you with your wedding attendees thank yous!

Re: Question about when to send thank you
I got two no's with gifts as well. I acknowledged it with a generic thank you card from CVS. (I keep a pack in the houe that is blank inside).
I just wrote a little note thanking them and telling them how appreciated it was, and that I was sorry they could not be there with us.
Once we get our formal thank you, I plan to send one too.
The way I see it, if you cash the check, (assuming it was in the form of a check?), it looks rude NOT to acknowledge it HTH!

Re: Question about when to send thank you
i waited and sent a thank you with the rest of them. people wait 12 months to send out wedding thank yous after cashing checks so i figured they could wait a month. i had my wedding thank yous out within a few weeks so i wasnt worried about coming off rude or anything.

Re: Question about when to send thank you
Yes, deposit the checks now so it doens't mess up their bank accounts.
I sent a little thank you note when I got it and a wedding thank you card after the wedding
