Question about where to put gifts from wedding

Question about where to put gifts from wedding

I have been reading about the mailboxes or bird cages etc that people have had to hold envelopes at the end of the evening at the wedding. I presented this idea to my fi and he said no way, he did not like that idea. So now I have to figure out another way to collect the gifts. I am tempted to go and buy satin and make a large bag that I have seen sold for more money than I care to spend. Does anyone have any ideas? What are you using to collect the envelopes?

My mom bought one of those satin purses for me. I do not know what the hall did with the gifts, all I know is that when it was all over all the presents that people brought with them were wheeled out for us to our waiting limo

I used a wrapped box, but it wasn't for the guests to put the envelopes in...It was someplace for US to put the envelopes after we received them from the guests...

We kept the box by our table...It worked wonderfully!!
