question about wrapping the bo-ks

Hello all. I'm looking for opinions and suggestions about wrapping the bo-ks.
1.) As far as the bridal bo-k, did you wrap the entire stem or did you leave some green showing out the bottom?

2.) did you wrap the BM bo-ks? and again, the whole thing or are the stems showing out the bottom?

Do you have any pictures?

I wrapped the whole stem for both my bo-k and the BMs. Its really upto you, Ive seen them done both ways and both look nice.

I dont have a pic of the BM bo-ks where you can clearly see how its all wrapped but heres one of mine and and a shot of me w/ my sisters' (MOH and BM in my wedding)

We just went through this with our florist...we are leaving the stems showing at the bottom bc it looks more natural. We are wrapping all Bok's.

Re: question about wrapping the bo-ks

i was in a wedding recently that the stems were not wrapped. because it was a hot day and they were delicate flowers, the florist left them in water till we were ready to go.

my only complaint about them is that the stems were wet - and no matter how hard we tried to dry them...we had water stains.

So I guess if you are going to leave them out a little, i would make sure that they aren't going to put them in a bit of water or anything.

I want mine competely wrapped.

Mine is going to be wrapped more than half way to the bottom, but there is going to be some of the stem showing.

I'm having my bo-k wrapped but with stems showing. Attached is a sample I showed my florist.

my florist would have done them unwrapped but I would have had to sign a waiver saying he was not responsible for water stains from the stems because it's highly likely it will happen. So instead, we just got them wrapped. It didn't even occur to me the open stems could stain until he told me. I really wanted them open but didn't want to take the chance because with my luck, I would have ruined my gown within the first 3 minutes of wearing it

I'd like to have everyone bo-k's only partially wrapped like this.

Actually, you should ask your florist about the bo-ks. I know that certian flowers need to have the stems exposed because they aren't as harty and need to be in water up till the last minute. Other flowers are fine, and they can have the entire stem wrapped and they'll stay. I know that American Hydrangias (what I want) need the exposed bottom.
I like how it looks when everyone has a wrapped bo-k (the bride and BP). You should have a white and the girls can have a color that complements their dresses.

I plan on getting the whole bouquet wrapped with the extra gown material that is left over from alterations. My wedding is in July and the flowers need to have water so that they won't wilt.
