How often does your mother or father babysit for your child? Or see your kids? Just wondering. My MIL watches my SIL's baby while she works but even when she doesn't they are still together 24/7. I just wonder how healthy that is.

My mother comes over every weekend for a couple hours(She always calls first )
My in-laws only when we bring him over.
My Dad and Step-mother come over every couple of weeks.
I always tell my Mom she will be the favorite Grandparent

It's good to see that not everyone sees their mom everyday. Maybe its a bit of jealousy but I know seeing someone that much cannot be healthy. I live over an hour from my mom and I know when we have kids, she will not be able to come over everyday! But that could be a good thing!!

when i was born i spent a LOT of time with my Grandma- pretty much every day- she was the 'day care'.
I turned out fine.. I don't see why it would be a problem.

I don't think its a problem for a grandparent to babysit a child everyday while the parent works at all. I guess it's hard to explain but MIL acts like the baby's second mom. The baby was even confused over who her mom was in the beginning because my MIL took care of her so much.

NO she doesn't which is great- it works for her. I dont have a problem with it- I was just wondering how much is too much? Or even if there is such a thing.
