Question and a Check

Now that tax season is finally over, I'm ready to get back into the swing of things.

Check - Ordered BM's dresses

Question - How do you feel about MOB and MOG wearing black????

I'm not a big fan of them wearing black but it would depend on the dress.

i don't think there's a problem with them wearing black. unless you're superstitious i don't see what the big deal is.

The black is something I was originally against - now I think I just don't care either way.

YAY!!! Barb, Big Check!!!!

I am on the fence with the MOB and MOG wearing black, I have been to a bunch of weddings where MOB or MOG have worn black and I have loved the dresses but 90% of people wear black to a wedding and I like when the BP and the MOB and MOG stand out.

Yay for your check Barb and for tax season being over!

I don't think there's anything wrong with black for MOB and MOG, but I'm personally not a fan. I specifically told them I didn't want them in black because I wanted them to stand out.

I don't see anything wrong with wearing black but if you asked my mother she would go nuts -- she hates when people wear black to weddings.

I think it can look classy.

Congrats on the check! I think they'd be fine in black. FMIL probably would wear black, but the BM dresses are black.

i never heard anything against wearing black. i personally prefer it bc black is my favorite color for formal dresses.

I think black is elegant. My mom is wearing a black gown and it's gorgeous and looks beautiful on her.

FMIL would never wear black; she's a semi-OTB Greek and she thinks black is a death color. I, of course, do not agree, but at least now there's no issue with them wearing the same color!

yes I think wearing black is fine although I don't think my mom of FMIL would ever consider it.......I have seen it before and think it looks elegant!

Apparently they both want black but are 'treading lightly' at the moment because I told them both I didn't want black.
