A few months back, I posted on here asking you ladies a question inquiring what necklace would go with the halter neckline for my bridesmaids dresses.

Most of you responded no necklace and instead do chandelier earrings. My question is this, I personally don't feel comfortable wearing big earrings when my hair is in an updo. I would like your opinions as to how you would feel. Do any of you ladies agree with me or disagree? I don't want any of my girls feeling uncomfortable and I also don't want them to overpower the earrings I will be wearing.

I was able to find a pic of my necklace online which shows a close up of the pave ball with the teardrop and that exact part is what my earrings look like. I am really worried about the girls overpowering my earrings if they wear chandelier earrings.

Please give me all your honest opinions. Remember, most of them will be wearing an updo.

I have attached a pic of the dress my bm's will be wearing.

I don't like chandelier earrings either, especially with an updo... I would rather see BMs in simple, less overpowering jewelry, especially if their hair will be all up.

I love updo's with big earings but if you are not comfortable what about a small drop earing. something like this

Me and my BMs wore dresses with a halter top. I had my hair up and so did most of my BMs. Some of them wore chandeleir earrings and I wore tiny drop earrings. Nobody overpowered me, there's WAY too much going on that day for anyone to be comparing earrings.

i agree. they're earrings cannot overpower your white dress.

Oh I didn't mean they would overpower YOU as the bride. I just meant the earrings would overpower the whole look of the BMs.

But this is just my opinion- You should also see if you can gauge how your BMs feel about it.

All my girls wore different tops, but some did wear halter tops. I bought them all a necklace and earrings. Here are some pics to give you an idea.



These were the necklaces, but in brown.


These were the earrings. This was the color of the necklace as well.
