Has anyone ever grieved their taxes, and if so, did you do it yourself or use an agency like Mark Lewis??

I haven't yet but plan to this year. A ton of agencies will mail things to your house. I heard it wasn't so hard to grieve them yourself. Just alot of paperwork

Re: question for all of the homeowners..........
I have been in this business for almost 20 years:
My advice to any homeowner:
1. It is actually pretty easy to do this yourself (especially if it is a recent purchase) the forms you need to fill out are not complicated at all.
2. If you choose not to do it yourself, use a lawyer who specializes in this. Mark Lewis is not an attorney, yet he charges the same amount as an attorney to handle this. Attorneys who specialize in this type of law charge a contingency fee which for house cases is usually 50%.
3. Do not use the attorney who did your closing unless he or she has experience in this t ype of law. Trust me on this one.
The firm I work for no longer handles residential properties (only commerical properties or condos/co-ops), but if you need some names of people/firms that do, FM me and I'll be glad to help.

I agree about the attorney, the one who did our closing does specialize in this.
