Metallic card stock typically needs to have raised printing, emboss, foil stamp or letterpress. I personally have not seen it work yet with a regular ink jet printer and metallics in a laser printer can ruin the printer.

I am also using stardream metallic cardstock for my invites. I have an old hp inkjet printer. They came out great, even the envelopes! They key is to only print out one at a time. Let it dry very well for at least a minute before it touches anything else. A few got smudged but after a while I got the hang of it. I have a very large bold font. I can't say how a script or small, fine font will print so I suggest getting some samples first. After they dried the ink even looks a little raised! I say give it a try! Good luck!
