Question? For anyone that traveled to scrap

I going to visit my cousin in VA beach on Thursday and we are attending a scrap Getaway while I am there.

My question is this:
I am flying and I am wondering if I Can bring my scissors, cutter etc in my luggage that goes in the belly of the plane?

I know I can not put it on my carry on but just want to make sure its ok to go in my checked luggage bc I dont want any of it taken away.
That would really stink!!!

I was thinking of calling the airlines, but kinda felt like a dork, but i will probably do it anyway just in case.

my cousin also told me to leave this stuff home and use her stuff so that is also a suggestion.

who knows,
I wont be packing till wednesday eve anyway.

It says you can pack scissor in checked luggage but you can't bring pointy metal scissor on the plane.

Hopefully with this trip I will complete my Godsons First year of Life scrapbook, this is the first scrapbook I started and need to have it done by his bday in July.

(I fiished another scrapbook in between time but this is the first one I ever started and put alot more sweat and tears into)

Taking so long bc I am trying to document his whole first year,
some will have to be added after his First bday party which I am hosted.

The album you made for your god son sounds wonderful!! Are you keeping it for you to share with him when he gets older or giving it to his parents?

Another suggestion:
you can pack them up and send the via regular mail or priorty mail.
I have purchased sissors, cutters and such and had them mailed to me. Then before you leave, pack them back up and re-send.
