Question for anyone who got married/is getting married at a church....

If so, what did you put on your invite?

St. Anthony of Padua
St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church
St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church

and

did you put the full address or just the town?

17 Cheshire Place
East Northport, New York

or just

East Northport, New York

Thanks!

I put St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church
115 Kings Highway
Hauppauge, New York

I am pretty sure that etiquette wise the poster above me is correct but I never liked how the RC looked alone an dwith 75% of our guests from OOT, I wanted the address on the invite.

I would just put the town and the state
because are you including directions in with the invite? I am including directions in the invite to the church, so I don't need to put the address b/c it will say on the directions on a separate piece of paper.

I left off Roman Catholic Church and just put the name St. William the Abbot and I only put the town & state b/c my invitation lady said that is what is done b/c you have direction cards which have the whole address. My friend on teh other hand put the address--I really think it is your preference.

I am getting married at St. Anselm's ... I wrote out 'St. Anselm's Roman Catholic Church' and then the entire address

I would call the church and find out what they like to be formally called. I wrote mine 'Name Church'...so it would have been St. Anthony of Padua Church. But definitely check with the church directly.

I read somewhere(forget now) that you should put it on the invitation how it is posted either on the bulletin, or if they have a plaque outside of the church. If they do not use RC after it in the bulletin, then it said to leave it off. Who knows the validity of that considering I can't remember where I read it.
