From soup to nuts...how long was your ceremony or mass? I am trying to decide between the two...I am just wondering how long is each, including photos and receiving line? Thanks!

Re: Question for Brides Married in a Catholic Church
I am not having a mass and our priest told us the ceromony will be 40 minutes long. Everyone says it usually takes 20-30 minutes for the receiving line.

Re: Question for Brides Married in a Catholic Church
The only difference between a Mass and a ceremony is Communion. It all depends on the priest as to how long each will be. My brother had a Mass and we were out of Church in 45 minutes. My cousin also had a Mass and we were in Church for an hour and 15 minutes. I'm using the same priest as my brother, so hopefully we'll be out of Church in 45 minutes too.

Re: Question for Brides Married in a Catholic Church
My priest said if we have the full mass it should last about an hour. We're just doing the ceremony though, so everyone's been saying it should be about 1/2 an hour.

Re: Question for Brides Married in a Catholic Church
We only had a ceremony and it was over in a half an hour. We were on our way for our outdoor photos about a half an hour after that. So total time spent at church was an hour.

Re: Question for Brides Married in a Catholic Church
I am not having a full mass and I was told it should be a half hour. I figure with receiving line and pictures the whole thing should take an hour total.
