Question for Brides with Square Invitations

How much was the postage? Did you have to put two stamps on each one, or did you by stamps with a higher postage?

My envelopes are 7x7.

TIA!

Mine were $.63 and I only needed 1 stamp.

I got the Wedding ones, were it's $.63 on one side of the sheet and $.39 on the other for the RSVP's.

I had a Pocketfold Invite 5X7 if that helps any

I ordered 63 cent stamps-but I reccomend going to the post office and weighing your invite with all pieces, including direction cards inside. It has to do with weight not size-so it depends on how heavy your papers are. Up to two ounces is 63 cents. The last thing you want is your invites to come back because they were too heavy for the postage.

Actually, size DOES matter. For a regular piece of mail (1 oz or under) it's $.39. But for an odd shape (like square) it's $.53 or something like that.

As for anything above one ounce on odd shaped envelopes, I would recommend taking one full sample to the post office to get the exact amount. Hope that helps!

Also, take note that postage is going up 2 cents some time soon (Maybe May 1) so if your invites are going out after then or your RSVP's are due after then, you may need more postage.

There is an extra postage for the square invitations, it is a set difference, so you can probably call the post-office. Even if it weighs the same as a non-square, it will cost more... If you buy square hallmark cards for bdays, etc. it is needs more postage than a regular stamp even though it doesn't weigh anything more.

mine were 7x7 and they were .63 for the outside stamp. You should just bring a completed one to the post office and have it weighed. They'll be able to help you.
