Question for Catholic Brides

If you have or if you will be getting married in a parish that is not yours, Did you have to write a letter to your church asking permission to get married in the other church? And if you did, what did you say?

I don't have to write a letter to my church, they have to write a letter to the church I am getting married in. I just asked my priest to write the letter.

I think basically, the church you are getting married in wants to make sure you are a good catholic. My church also has to fill out some form/questionairre b/f I can get married.
