What is going on with the upstairs room at CLM? I am gettting married there in three and a half months and was told like a year ago that they are remodeling the room and it was supposed to be done way before now. They were supposed to paint it and put it new carpet. Now I am hearing from girls on the boards that they are having problems getting a permit to do the work. I am getting a little nervous. What if they are not done in time for my wedding??? What if they are halfway done??? Anybody know anything about this??? Thanks! I will probably ask them this weekend too when I go up there.

I spoke with Lou last month and here is the latest. They are supposedly doing the upstairs vaulted ceiling in April since the contractors daughter is getting married in that room then, so he said it will be done in time for that.
As far as the carpet and paint, I think it might be close. I was told he has the carpet but are waiting for it for something I think. I remember hearing September for things to be done, but I think it could be the elevator and other stuff though because they are waiting on the permits or have to get them or something.
We told Lou that we wanted the downstairs room since we dont want elderly family members walking up and down the stairs... and if it wasnt done in time we didnt want to chance it. Honestly, we heard they have been saying they will get to the upstairs room for a few years and we didnt want to take a chance. They lowered the minimum to 125 ppl and we took the downstairs room. I would call and see if they could help you out and maybe get the other room...
