If you don't mind saying so, how much, on average, are your monthly LIPA and KeySpan bills? I just got them today and they seem a little high...so I'm just curious. Thanks!

Re: Question for Co-op/Condo owners....
Our LIPA bill is usually high in the summer, because we're using the air conditioner...so it's about $115 (My DH needs the place ice cold!). However, during the rest of the year, it's about 50 bucks.

Electric is always insane during the summer. Sometimes 2-3x more than winter.

I would say so.
It usually starts to go down in Oct-November. For some reason for me... September is always a high month (just like Aug/July).

Oh my god, my LIPA bill for my 2 BR co-op is about $40 a month....even in the summer with 2 AC's. I knew mine seemed low, but I'll never tell

Our elec. isn't included in the maintenance. But I think it's somehow shared or allocated in our building. I'm not sure how ours works, but there's no way my bill should be $40 a month.

Everything but electricity is included in my maintenance.

Re: Question for Co-op/Condo owners....
Good Question...I dont understand my LIPA bills at all! In the winter we go between 50-75 a month. This summer while using lots of air conditioning, my first bill was 90 then the next one was 160. I dont get it at all. I am not doing anything different from one month to the next, but my bills are never predictable!

Gas/Heat is covered in my maint. Our electric bill for a two bedroom ranges from $60-$90 a month.

Some co-ops include electric in the maintenance. Most do not.
