Question for daytime/afternoon brides

Question for daytime/afternoon brides

For those of you getting married in the morning or afternoon, what are you doing at night after the reception? We are contemplating a daytime wedding, but we feel like people will not have anything to do afterwards

I always wanted daytime b/c I wanted a more casual feeling to the wedding... As for afterwards, whoever has a long ride home, can get home in plenty of time (mine is a sun afternoon wedding) and I figured those that wanna keep partying, i'll make sure to inquire about an after party somewhere..

We plan on having an after party at the hotel

ETA: oops I thought I was posting on the 08 board but that is what I plan on doing, I also chose a day time wedding b/c it gives people the option to go back home after if they have to wake up for work the next morning.

I've been to an after party at someone's house after a daytime wedding.

Although we are having a night wedding we still plan on having a little after party for those that still want to party at the bar at the East Wind.

I just went to a Saturday Afternoon wedding last weekend, and after it was over everyone went back to the groom's parents house for an afterparty.

Oh ok...Good ideas...I will definitely look into having a daytime wedding with an afterparty somwhere

Also, I've seen this once. I was at a bar and people from the wedding not only showed up but the bride and groom did too-lol it was actually pretty funny and they looked like they had an awesome time!

06'er crashing! I got married in the afternoon (reception ended at 5:30). My parents had family back at their house, IL's had family back to their house, and DH and I went back to the hotel and hung out in the lounge/bar area with our friends and any other family that wanted to come. We got there around 6ish and we hung out till around 12pm. We ordered some pizza's and got other food and drinks from the hotel. It was one of my favorite parts of the day cause we got to sit and relax.
