Question for E-bay Sellers

Question for E-bay Sellers

I have an ebay question. Do any of you ever solicit feedback from people? For example, if you've sold something and left positive feedback for the person who bought it, do you then encourage the person to leave you feedback if you don't get any from them after a while?

I wanted to know if doing this was inappropriate.

I haven't asked myself, but I have had sellers ask me to leave feedback after they've left it for me. I don't mind.

But I wouldn't solicit feedback after some time has gone by. Some people leave it and other don't.

So may have not left me feedback, I always leave to boost their feedback.

Email them politely & ask I am sure its ok

Id ask them to do it for you if you did it for them. Fair is fair.

I don't sell on ebay, but every time I buy something, the seller asks me to leave feedback, so I do. I think it's pretty common to ask.

I just went through this!! We bought and sold of bunch of stuff this past month or so and we having a lot of problems with people not leaving us feedback after we had politely done so. I emailed the people very very nicely and finally most have responded. just keep contacting them in a nice way-if they are one of those people who sell a million things a week-they might just get confused and forget!

If I am a seller I will leave feedback for the person who bought from me. I never ask them to leave feedback for me if I already for them.

If I am a buyer I wait for the seller to leave me feedback. If they don't have the courtesy to leave me feedback, I won't do it for them.
