Question for Engaged Encounter....

Has anyone done the Engaged Encounter weekend with their church? I go to a Roman Catholic Church and it looks like we have to stay at the seminary in Huntington. Was wondering how it was?? Not gonna like, I am a little freaked out about staying in a room by myself in a seminary.

you don't have to do the one where you stay overnight, they also offer ones that you just go to the same place fri night, sat and 1/2 day on sunday. staying overnight would freak me out too!

Ohhh, when is this? People (especially FH) laugh at me but I heard this is a really great thing to do and I really want to do it! I'm especially excited to hear you don't have to sleep there! I heard something about being paired up with a same sex roommate for the weekend and wasn't too thrilled about that . . .

lol, omg, I don't think I can convince FH to stay w/me, he doesn't want to mess anything up.

Check out the diocese of Rockville Center's (or wherever your diocese is) website and they have the info for engaged encounter weekend. It was like $400 but I heard it was supposed to be a good experience.

My only thing is, I don't even get a roomate, I have to sleep in a room alone, and I get my own bathroom. I don't know, maybe I shouldn't have watched 'Paranormal Activity' the other night. :)
