question for Fox Hollow- Winter garden pavillion Brides

I had posted this on the thread, but thought I'd get more help this way.

Question for the fellow WGP brides- we were told the room holds 150- but they will allow up to 155 or 160. Was anyone else told this? We didn't think FH's family in Brazil would be comming to the wedding, and his parents were there last week, and now some are talking about possibly comming. I would love for them to come, but wish we had counted them in the beginning. Our list right now is at 148. So we may have to either drop 12 people from the list or figure out a way to add 12 people. We already had to drop singles from bringing guests- and I know this will cause a problem for some friends. And we had to take off about 6 people we are pretty good friends with but live out of town. Now it is comming to possibly having to cut some of my parents guests which may not be a good idea since they are paying. Anyone have any ideas? I can't switch rooms cus the main reason I am getting married at Fox Hollow is because of the Winter Garden Pavillion.

AHHHHH!

Thanks ladies!

I had 137 guests, 13 tables in total, and I honestly think you shouldn't go higher than that. Everyone was comfortable (even w/12 people per table) - but adding another table means you'll be taking away from the dance floor - one that's on the smaller side to begin with.

I'm not at Fox Hollow, but we did consider it.

I just wanted to remind you that an average of 20% of your invited guests will say no. So if you have 148 invited and want to add 12, you're at 160. Take away about 20% (which is 32 people), and you're down to 128 guests AT your wedding.

That should be a more than perfect # for that room. Good luck!

Thanks ladies! See I am hoping for about 15% not to come, but with our luck everyone will come! Especially since 50% are comming from out of town and so far everyone is planning to come from that 50%. The rest are all in NY and LI. Haha So I want to be prepared!

So if we have 13 table with 12 at a table- will people be seated comfortably?

12 at a table is comfortable.

I agree. It's a small room, they tell you they can fit up 150, but then people are sitting on the dance floor which not only look strange, it takes away space for gettin' down

And also not everyone you invite will be coming, so don't worry about it
