Re: Question for girls getting married outside
nope, we're not doing an aisle runner. It would have to be one of those that are kinda carpet like... like really thick, but I can't find one here so we're just going to do with out it and I am just going to have to cross my fingers that we don't sink in with our heels too much
But we are lining the aisle with flower petals to make it look a bit nicer.

good question. i was thinking i wasn`t going to use one, but i`m still not sure. my ceremony woulld be on a deck so it might not be so bad but it could still be windy!!

We didn't use one. Our ceremony location was so pretty that we didn't need it either.

We're using one, put ours is going to be on a patio not grass. I do worry about wind so i'm thinking that I may use some big pretty river rocks along the edges to weigh it down...just a thought I haven't really thought out the logistics of it yet.

Re: Question for girls getting married outside
We had an aisle runner, but our aisle was brick so it was able to lay flat and didn't sink. It was windy that day too and we didn't have any problems with it moving, I'm pretty sure it was taped down on the end.

We're not using a runner, but we don't have a real aisle, technically. Even if we moved it inside because of weather, I dont' think I would use one. I'm WAYYY too likely to trip over my own feet.

Re: Question for girls getting married outside
Im not doing the aisle runner...I might regret it because my dress os going to drag over the bricks but I just thought it was an unnessecary extra thing that I didnt want to have to deal with. Im trying to go for a minimal amount of nonsense to drive me crazy! Thats my goal!

I definitely want one. I am thinking of attaching it to cardboard to lay down, or possibly using some pretty garden stakes to keep it on the ground.

Re: Question for girls getting married outside
I got married at Crest Hollow Country Club. It has a patio, gazebo, and gardens in the back. We bought an aisle runner a few days before b/c it was predicted to rain and we were afraid the patio would be wet. But for the rain issue, we were undecided about using it, since CHCC keeps its patio immaculate. It didn't rain so we didn't use it.

Re: Question for girls getting married outside
i went to two outdoor weddings last week... the first one didn't have a runner, just flower petals all in the aisle... very simple and pretty the second one had one of those flimsy like paper aisle runners that you get from Michaels or AC Moore... and the girls heels were all poking holes in it, so by the time the bride came down the aisle, it had holes all in it from the bridesmaids. so i would either do none, or a more 'hardcore' type of aisle runner...

Re: Question for girls getting married outside
No aisle runner allowed @ OWG. We are using lots and lots of rose petals.
