Question for girls who are currently working with Tessa

After you submitted her form how long was the process to get a mock up invite? I've loved all the ones she's done for you girls already and I was just curious because I'm very anxious to see what she comes up with for ours!!

I just got my first mock ups the other day, I would say all tolled about 2-3 weeks.

oh man, but I totally understand, she is only one person!!! Was it a lot of emailing back and forth before the mock up was made or you just didn't hear anything for weeks?

I got her designs a couple of days ago.. but I waiting about 2-3 weeks or so.

I know the feeling, I keep going on the blog to see if my name moved up on the list!!!!

Didn't hear anything for weeks. She doesn't follow up with you personally. She just updates her blog each day to show her progress.

She just hired another person this week, so hopefully that will alleviate her work and we will see our invites sooner!!!

In regards to the email, it depends. Sometimes you won't here from her unless you have a question and email her, then she responds to you. She is very good with getting back to you in a timely fashion.

If you just sent in your form, what will happen next is she will send you a link to her blog and a login and password. (where all the list of names she works off of is composed). Then you can sign on everyday and see when your name moves up on the list and she also lists her progress and what she is up to. Then you get a better idea of when you will be seeing something from her.

it can take time but its worth the wait.....i think part of the reason she is getting backed up is because she has so many brides to accomodate - even the brides who have weddings that are very far in advance.....even if you feel like you are waiting you still getting a much more personal experience than if you were to just order invites from somewhere else - these are custom - totally worth the wait in my opinion - we got so many comments about our invitations

Just sent you an FM...Tessa has become so popular because of this site. And alot of people have been getting frustrated because of the wait. What I would say is if you are patient, and you have time (especially being a summer or Fall/Winter bride), it is well worth the wait. It took a couple of weeks for my first mockup and I wasn't happy with the colors....5 days later she sent the revised version and I loved it. Now I'm waiting for the proof - which will take some time as well. But I keep reminding myself that I have months before they need to be sent out so I'm trying to not obsess about it. :)

I've seen some girls on the site frustrated and see their wedding dates are the end of 2009 and it is kind of funny. Plenty of time for invites. So I'd definitely go for it....initial mockups are free so if you have time, why not?

I finally moved into production this month so I am SUPER excited.

I started the process over the summer, right before she really started getting busy so I couldn't say how long it's been taking but I know she's been trying her very best to accommodate people with wedding dates that are earlier in the year and she basically works every single day of the week it seems.

I agree that it's worth the wait if you've got the time. If you're about ready to order your invites because your wedding is in 4 months, then maybe it's cutting it close but if you've got a late spring/early summer wedding, you still have time to get a mock-up from her but also look for backups in case you don't want to go with Tessa.

Thanks girls, very helpful info!! Its going to be a very suspenseful wait, but I really love what I've seen her do for other girls so I have no doubts it will be worth it. I do have a backup, but I would rather not have to use it!!
