Question for girls who used Guest Books!!!

Did people actually sign them or was it a waste of money. I found one I like, but I feel like nobody is even going to sign it. Its not a cheap one either, so if other girls bought them and people barely signed them please let me know. I don't want to waste money on it.Thanks!!!

I am worried about the same thing, so I bought a cheaper Guest Book. Simple, white guest book I got at Kate's Paperie for $25.

I have heard of people asking a friend to be a guest book attendant. I was thinking of doing this but I don't know if this will be more of an obligation than an honor. Sorry i don't want you in my bridal party, but can you stand here and make sure my family is smart enough to figure out that this book is for signing. Probably a good job for a kid?

I'm using a guest book and I plan to have an attendant. I have done it for other peoples weddings in the past and I did not feel as if it was an obligation.

i have a dumb question- the guest book is for names and addresses of guests- right?

i'm also doing the wish bowl so i don't want it to be repetitive.

Honestly- it was a waste. But the book itself was a gift so i didn't feel to horrible about it... but pretty much no one signed it.

But honestly I don't remember even seeing it out and I didn't make a sign or have an attendant either....

It really wasn't important to me at the end of the day.

I feel it's a waste too. I saw a cute one at a hallmark store - cost 20 bucks with a pen. If I do anything., it would be something like that!

Only about 25-30 out of 160 people signed the book. I actually had 2, one that cost $2.99 from Mace and one that cost $125. I found the cheaper one got more notes than the more expensive one. I am actually thinking of giving it to my cousin because I have so many pages on the expensive one that were never used.

If you are thinking about doing one, have the band/DJ announce it or have a person designated to bring it around.

my FSIL found it to be a waste, very few of the 20 guests signed it.

Mine was a waste. Very few people signed it, but I didn't have an attendent or anything...it wasn't that big of a deal to me though because I got a decent one for pretty cheap off ebay...but I wouldn't have gotten one at all if I knew how many people were going to sign it.
