Question for girls who used old westbury gardens...

what rooms where you allowed to take pictures in? any pictures?

Old Westbury Gardens provides a beautiful setting for your wedding photographs, April through early November.

By completing the Wedding Photography Reservation Form, you can reserve a 1-1/2 hour session for you and your party in the Gardens. The required fee, the balance of which is due two weeks before your wedding date, depends upon the time of day that you enter the grounds. Once we receive your completed reservation form and availability is established, we will mail a confirmation to you. Reservation forms must be received at least six weeks prior to your wedding date.

Old Westbury Gardens allows no more than three bridal parties to enter at any given time. A Garden Guide accompanies each wedding party to ensure a quality experience.

Due to the popularity of the Gardens as a wedding photography location, you may wish to reserve your date early.

it's a beautiful place to take pictures..

I believe the required fee is about $100..
.. the only thing that worries me is if it rains.. I'm a little hesitant.

I heard that Hofstra near the stadium has a beautiful garden area.. and it's FREE.. this way your not losing your fee if it rains.. JMO!

They are usually a little picky about what rooms you can go to upstairs. If they know your photographer well, they usually let them sneak up there. I think you can use upstairs by the fireplace though. You can definetely use the downstairs where that piano is.

That's good news!! I didnt know. I only heard from a photographer what I posted, but thank you for sharing the info!
..Down side is - $400 is a bit steep for me considering all the other misc. things that add up.. OUCH!

its not $400 all of the time. here is the breakdown:
