Not all! I'm not jewish, but Fh is.

Often it's easier to have ti at the temple because it's right there and temples often have great catering, and if you want/need the weddingfood to be kosher, you'll have a hard time finding an all kosher reception hall.

Nope - both FI & I are Jewish and we are not getting married at a temple. FIL's rabbi is marrying us at our hall.

Definitely not! I'd say at least half, if not more than, do not have their weddings at temples.

Many Jewish brides do not get married at temples, and even if they do, it's rarely their own temple. I went to one of my friend's weddings in August where they had the ceremony at her temple, but that's rare. Out of the 10 Jewish weddings I've been to in the last year, 4 of them were completely in temples (ceremony and reception), and only that one had the ceremony in her own temple, with the reception elsewhere.

We're getting married at our reception site (i'm Jewish, FH is not)...my brother is also getting married at the reception site (both Jewish). I don't think it matters, unless you're religious, and then it might mean more to you.

No.. the only reason why I am stepping foot in a temple is to meet with the Cantor who is marrying us. We are getting married at our reception venue- and most of our friends did the same.
