How are you handling the ring situation during the ceremony?
I have a plain gold band that I'm going to be getting married in. This will not be my everyday band; I bought a diamond band to wear with my engagement ring. I figure that during the ceremony, I will wear my engagement ring on my left hand, and the rabbi will put the gold band on my right index finger, as is tradition.
My question is what to do with the diamond band? Should I wear it down the aisle with my engagement ring, or put it on after the ceremony? And what happens to the gold band for the rest of the ceremony? Does it stay on the index finger?
hope this makes sense.

Re: uestion for Jewish Brides...
i am tentatively getting married in my grandmother's gold band. we are very very close, and she, my mom, and my aunts all got married wearing her band.
we didnt plan on the logistics, but maybe my grandma will wear my wedding band on her pinky (i have tiny fingers) and then we will do our own swap after the ceremony? or she can just hold the box with my wedding band.
(my band has diamonds half around)

Re: Question for Jewish Brides...
I was told you arent allowed to wear rings under the chuppah?? I have a plain gold band for the ceremony. I'll just take it off and put my band on after the ceremony.

Re: Question for Jewish Brides...
I have a diamond band that matches my e-ring for every day, and I am going to get a plain gold band for the ceremony. It's our custom not to wear any jewelry under the chuppah, so I'm going to take all of it off before the ceremony and get married with the plain band. After the ceremony, I plan to wear the diamond band with my e-ring on my left hand, and the plain gold band on the right hand for the rest of the wedding.

I will not be wearing my e-ring under the chuppah, i will be getting married in my grandmothers wedding band and after the ceremony will put on my e-ring and actual wedding band.

Definitely check...It has to be a solid band...can't have any adornments or holes. Doesnt mean you can't wear it after; the one that you actually get 'married' in has to be solid.
