Question for JT Brides

If you don't mind sharing with me what was included in ur package at JT or what u got thrown in I would really appreciate it. I have set a date w/ them but I am going there tonight to sit down w/ my BM to finalize our contract. Where I do plan on adding on a few extras so I just wanted to know what deals other people have gotten or asked for. I f you can FM me with details it'll be nice. Thank You SO MUCH!!!

try to have the chocolate fountain thrown in if you are doing a VH, or even if not try to have that thrown in.

You can also have other things added to your CH, there are some things they do throw in sometimes in the CH.

There is an extra where you can have a bottle of red wine and white wine on each table, you can try for this too.

Martini bar

Re: Question for JT Brides

Its funny you mentioned the martini bar b/c i was going to ask about that. Do you think they will throw it in? and exactly what is the difference w/ the martini bar? The VH Hour I was going to add on but am a little skeptical on adding it because we are having the wedding on Labor Day which is the Monday last day of the holiday weekend and as of right now reception is ending at 11:30, so that would make it end at 12:30. Do you think that's too late??

hey theres no harm in trying, the worst thing that can happen is they just say no so go for it. The martini bar is at the CH has its own station if i remember correctly. My MOH was telling me how she didnt even know what to pick bc they had like 30 flavors.

I personally dont think its too late, i attended sunday weddings that ended around midnight and i stayed until the end even though i had work the next day. Some might leave early though but that can happen regardless at a wedding. But yeah talk it over with your FH and see if you even want to do a VH then. If not then you can ask JT to throw in other things. Look at the extras part in their book and see which one appeals to you, try to ask for something thats about $5 per person and not like $15 or $20pp hahaha it will be easier.

And like i said, ask what else can be thrown in during CH, there are some things that they dont do for every CH. ALso other small things, one thing they do is instead of doing just pasta for the 2nd course, they can do a duet which is risotto and pasta i think. You could also ask for extra ice sculptures

yeah look at the extras page in the binder they gave you - try to get some of those things thrown in - we the got martini bar during CH, we got the VH for a much lower price pp with the chocolate fountain for free, and we got some christmas time extras thrown in for the VH also (like christmas type cookies and egg nog), we also go t the pasta duet for dinner but i want to change that to bagels at the end of the night (since its the same price per person im hoping they will switch it for me )

good luck!

im sure they would change it, shouldn't be a problem. I never discussed the pasta duet with them, didnt even know about it lol but when i arrived the day of, our maitre'd told us about some things he different and said he did the pasta duet for us, i didnt get to eat it but looked great. Then instead of potato croquette he asked the chef to do something different.

to the op, i said to ask for extra ice sculptures but actually ask to throw that in PERIOD lol, bc in their book you'll see they charge for this but you can get it for free

Re: Question for JT Brides

Yeah we have the free ice sculpture already. What happened is that the BM that I originally sat w/ was holding a dte for us b/c I was waiting to hear back from the church as to whether or not they can have my ceremony on Monday. So once I heard that they could my FH went to JT and dropped off the deposit for that day b/c another bride was interested. so they faxed him a contract w/ the regulars. But we are going in today to sit down officialy w/ our BM to go over the specifics and extras. So i just want to make sure i cover everything tonight when we get our final price.

They will also add something in for free if you use their vendors. They give you a list to choose from after you sign the contract when you meet with their wedding planner.

Re: Question for JT Brides

I worked with Vinny--super nice guy.

I had the ice sculpture thrown in as well. Other than that, I didn't really get much thrown in--maybe I should ask now. haha!

But I agree with Denise--def just ask--the worst they can say is NO! You have nothing to lose!

Re: Question for JT Brides

yeah you have nothing to lose - we didnt really ask - we just said if we are spending all this money PP we want a lot of stuff and some things i HAVE to have and then he threw stuff in and made it work for a price we could afford - we met with Rob, he is the only person i will deal with there - we met another BM there once and i wasnt happy and neither was FH - we rather just deal with Rob only...

I think that martini's are made at the regular bar anyway try to have something u cant get somewhere else thrown in. Like the fountains or seafod boat etc.

Re: Question for JT Brides

Just ask. They are usually pretty accommodating. We got the martini car thrown in, the chair covers (before they were given to you AND the bows that go on the chairs, the chocolate fountain, the 5 course dinner with 9 choices, for no extra charge we also got the 'duet'

We also got our rehearsal at N/C...

the seafood boat is $22 per person so they wont throw that in for free, you can get it for a little bit less than $22 per person but for free its hard.

Also the martini bar ithink was separate, i forgot lol. But i know my bms and MOH were telling me they had like 30 flavors, i have to ask them bc i cant remember. I checked out the room before they let guests in but i didnt go to my CH, i stayed in the bridal suite and ate with Dh in there
