question for JT brides

do they contact me to do a cake tasting or do i call the bakery on my own? also which location do we go to?

I wasn't aware there was more than one Dortoni's location. You call the bakery yourself- JT doesn't really do tastings, so even the cake tasting is completely on your own. Dortoni's doesn't really take appointments either. I'd just call them a day or two before you wanted to go in and go from there.

Just a heads up- it's not like you go in the back and sit down and discuss flavor pairings and cake design or anything like that. They give you a list of flavors and you choose a couple you want to try then they give you stuff to try and you can wrap up any left overs to take home with you. Also, they'll mostly just refer you to Linda at JT to discuss cake design. Good luck! Enjoy!

ETA: Make your appointment for the cake tasting before your semi-final appointment with JT. They will ask you what cake flavors/designs you want at that appointment.

thank u!! i went to a wedding at JT back in Nov and the cake was very good but i thought it would be a good idea to taste other fillings. i went on dortonis website and there are several locations listed and i am not a long islander so i have noo idea lol

Ohhh I see what you mean!

I think those are the locations of their 'sister shops' Messina Market and La Bonne Boulangerie.

The actual Dortoni's location is in Levittown.
