Question for Married Ladies

Im going to change my name. Do I need to change it at Social Security first before I change my license or can I do my license first then go to Social Security?

It doesn't matter where you go first

When it comes to passports... when do I get that changed? Mine doesn't expire until a few years after we get married.. can I even change my passport before we get married? If so, how long before?

You can't change anything until AFTER you get married because you need the marriage certificate to do so. Passport should be the last one changed b/c you have to mail in your original marriage certificate.

That stinks! Then my last name won't be on my passport for the honeymoon! I guess nothing will have my name on it for the honeymoon..

I was really disappointed when I realized that everything for the HM will be in my maiden name, but as FH pointed out if the name on my plane ticket doesn't match the name on my ID I might not be getting on the plane

Your FH is right! If you're going on your HM right after the wedding, don't start changing anything until you get back, as typically these items may take several weeks to get in. Then you can go get your license, SS card, and passport redone.
