Question for Michele31, or anyone else

I am very interested in brestfeeding well into my child's first year when that time comes. My question is, I would like to have my children very close together(Irish twins, I am one, and I am all for it) 1. Is getting pregnant possible while brestfeeding.
and 2. Will either one of my children be lacking in nutrients(outside baby, and inside baby) thanks

I can tell you that getting pregnant is possible while breastfeeding. That's usually how a lot of women have some second 'oops' babies.

I'm not sure about the nutrients question

Yes its very possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding. I got AF back 7 months PP with Emma and now she is 28 months (she was bf exclusivly since birth) She started nursing about 2x a day from 20 months till she was 26 months old. Now its once in a blue moon, I think just for comfort... anywho. I got pregnant again when she was 22 months. Your breast milk production decreases when you get pregnant. You may need to suppliment in those times till your milk comes in again if you plan on tandum nursing. And the baby inside will not lack anything from you since they get it directly from the source.

I'm an Irish twin too My brother is 10 months older than me. I breastfeed my son exclusively, and got my period back after just 8 weeks post partum. So yes you can get pregnant no problem! You milk supply will decrease when AF returns or if you get pregnant. But the breastmilk will still supply all the nutrients your baby needs.

The babies will not lack anything, but you would have to be careful to eat healthy in order to not deprive your own body. Other than that, it's fine!

I was 100% BF'ing when my period returned 3 months pp. You can tandem nurse. There are tons of tandem and extended BF'ing boards on babycenter and Yahoo that can help with ?'s.
