Question for past ballgown brides

How hot were you on your day? I get really warm whenever I try my gown on, a little scared I will be all sweaty in it. Was it that bad?

i was really sweaty - but it was 95 and 90% humidity

as i said i never felt so beautiful and disgusting at the same time

but you deal - i put baby powder on my back and legs before i got in my dress and that helped - then i put more baby powder on my legs later after pictures outside -

but ball gowns are so much fun to dance in - i loved spinning in my dress

i got married 11/05- not too much later after your date. it was about 70 and sunny, and i was pretty comfortable, but i wasn't wearing a crinoline. (Dress was poofy enough alone).

We got married at the end of July. I thought I was going to melt while we were taking pictures, but it was like 95 and all sun that day I wore a crinoline with mine. As soon as we got out of the sun I was fine though.

We got married in November, the only time I was really hot was during the ceremony. Other than that I was really comfortable.

I got married in September and honestly had no problem with the ballgown. I even had a slip on underneath but no stockings. I was completely comfortable and the only time I was a little hot was after being on the dance floor jumping around. I loved having the ballgown.

I was so hot when I tried my dress on during the fittings, but I was completely comfortable on my wedding day.

I was sweating and it was about 35 degrees out. Outside I was fine, inside when I had to do 'the rounds' I had to go outside and lift up my dress so my legs could get air. I don't know how summer brides get thru it.

I was hot during the reception, dancing and going to tables, etc. I was fine for the ceremony and photos.

I wasn't hot-- I was actually a bit chilly at times.. but I am always cold.

my day was freezing so i regretted getting strapless
however, i had gotten so hot dancing in the ballgown that i almost passed out

Thank god I bought a party dress too! Oh my night would have been ruined

It was 8/5 and I think the hottest day ever. My dress was stuck to my body still @ 3am.

Um, I was freezing!

The gown was a godsend.

I got married the last weekend in October and though it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon on the South shore (where the Bourne Mansion/recption was) the morning of the wedding on the North Shore (where the church is and where some pictures were taking) was really chilly. I was visibly shaking while taking some pictures on my front lawn before I left for the church. And what was super annoying, was that the following day was 65, pure sun, and gorgeous - oh well, you can't control the weather.

Inside at the reception i was fine, a little sweaty from dancing but not a big deal at all! I wouldn't stress about it, its not like it will be July.

i was worried about the same thing. i was SO hot at all my fittings, but the day of, I was perfectly fine!

I got married on November 26th...I was blessed with a beautiful day in the low 50's considering it's usually a lot colder that time of year and I was pretty comfortable. There was a lot of layers under my gown which kept me VERY warm mind you...I didn't wear stockings.
